Location: Skylight’s Elizabeth and Mile End sites and may require travel to  Christies Beach

Are you a passionate and experienced therapeutic professional ready to lead a multidisciplinary team? Skylight is looking for a dynamic Team Leader to join our Therapeutic Services team and help shape impactful mental health and wellbeing services.
 
 
About the Role
As the Team Leader, you’ll provide operational leadership to a team of skilled counsellors and art therapists, supporting their work with diverse clients across our organisation. You’ll play a pivotal role in maintaining high standards of care , fostering professional development, and contributing to service design and delivery, ensuring a quality service is delivered to NDIS, fee-for-service and Grant funded participants.
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, supervise, and support a team of counsellors and art therapists
  • Ensure high-quality, client-centred therapeutic practice
  • Provide oversight and reflective supervision
  • Manage caseload allocation, workflow, and service outcomes
  • Contribute to policy development and service planning
  • Foster a collaborative, values-driven team culture

Requirements for Success

  • Qualifications in Counselling and current relevant professional membership, e.g. PACFA or ACA
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and support the team, including providing supervision and professional development support
  • Minimum three years counselling experience within Australia
  • Strong management capability to monitor and manage performance against targets and budgets
  • Ability to engage in strategic thinking and apply business acumen skills
  • High level of self-management, communication and teamwork skills
  • Demonstrated ability for self-reflection and self-awareness
  • Experience or understanding of community development principles including community capacity building and partnerships
  • A deep understanding of strength based, person-centered, trauma informed and goal orientated recovery from mental health challenges
  • An understanding of the NDIS
  • Current SA Drivers Licence and willingness to use own vehicle
  • DHS Working With Children Check and DHS NDIS Worker Check
