Adam McCallum

Adam has 20 years’ experience in senior management and project management with expertiseacross numerous disciplines including business improvement, stakeholder management, quality and risk control, relationship building, personnel and budget management. He is a strong advocate for promoting acceptance of mental illness and supporting people who struggle with it day in and day out. “Having been exposed to those challenged by mental illness, I understand the importance of the work and support that Skylight offers, and it is an honour to be a member of the Skylight board”

Vilma Attanasio

Vilma is an experienced senior manager and non-executive director, with extensive experience in the financial services sector, including insurance. Her expertise lies in leadership, finance, distribution, strategy, and stakeholder management. Her areas of proficiency extend to change management and business transformation, leadership, persuading and influencing, business development, and strategic thinking and innovation. Vilma is deeply passionate about the benefits and importance of respect, diversity and inclusion in the workplace and recognizes the advantages of a culturally diverse environment. “I believe in building authentic, trusted relationships to navigate challenging environments, and I enjoy supporting and developing people to achieve their own success.” Vilma was appointed to the Board to fill a casual vacancy. She eagerly looks forward to working more closely with the Skylight Mental Health Board and Management team.

Marc Sodomka

Marc is a FCPA qualified accountant with over 23 years of experience in providing effective oversight and leadership for corporate services and commercial divisions. His areas of expertise include Financial Management, Information Technology, Information Systems, Procurement, Asset Management, and Risk Management. As a strategic leader, he possesses strong business and commercial acumen, complemented by well-developed skills in budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. Marc is adept at leading, developing, and executing strategic initiatives that enable successful organizational performance. “I believe in working with people to foster innovation and collaboration and am a sound communicator with a high level of analytical skills and expert knowledge of financial management processes.” Marc was appointed to the Board to fill a casual vacancy in 2023. He has since enjoyed working with the Board and the Management Team, particularly refining the Skylight budget. He looks forward to providing further support in these processes.

Pete Madsen

Pete is Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors with a passion for the profit-for-purpose sector; this is demonstrated through his previous Board roles with scosa, MS Society of SA/NT and Kudos Services.  Additionally, he has a deep understanding of the NDIS, initially gained during his tenure as Board Chair and interim CEO in a disability organisation during the transition to NDIS. Pete is also an experienced executive who has held senior leadership roles in commercial, finance, strategy, risk, governance, business improvement and project management in global and national organisations across a diverse range of sectors.  Notably, in his current General Manager role within a member organisation, he is working with mental health providers to implement a service offering that will provide value to members. “My time on the Finance, Audit and Risk Committee with Skylight has confirmed the excellent work the organisation undertakes within the community, together with how desperately these services are needed.  I am honoured to be considered for a Board position with Skylight and I am excited to lend my expertise and experience in support of Skylight continuing and enhancing this vital work.”

Jed is a leader in the financial services industry, specialising in governance, change initiatives, risk and compliance systems, advisory services, and project management. He has a proven ability to enhance stakeholder collaboration to deliver strategic initiatives that drive effective risk and compliance management. With significant achievements in risk management, Jed excels at fostering risk-aware cultures and offering governance expertise in complex regulatory environments, supporting organisations in achieving both operational success and long-term strategic goals.

Miriam Whitford

Miriam Whitford is an experienced board director and strategic leader with a strong background in governance, business growth, innovation, e-commerce and stakeholder engagement. Her board and committee experience spans not-for-profit, government, education, and major events, including roles with Skylight Mental Health, SA Circus / Cirkidz, Parkinson’s SA, Adelaide 500 and the South Australian Premier’s Advisory Communication Group. She was Chair of St Catherine’s School.

With executive experience across global FMCG, professional services, and the social sector, Miriam brings commercial acumen, strategic insight, and a collaborative leadership style. She is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and the founder of Whitford Thinking, a consultancy supporting SMEs with growth and transformation. She brings deep expertise in marketing, digital transformation, e-commerce, and financial stewardship. She is known for her inclusive leadership style, strong stakeholder networks, and commitment to driving values-aligned outcomes in purpose-driven organisations.

Carolyn McKay

Carolyn is an experienced Social Worker Leader and Non-Executive director with extensive experience in the NGO sector including within Mental Health and Disability support organisations. Carolyn’s skills include strategy, business, risk and  people management. Carolyn has completed the AICD company Directors Course. She has a strong sense of social justice and is  passionate about making a difference in the community. She is excited about joining the Skylight Board and supporting the organisation to continue to make a positive difference in the lives of the people  we support and their families and carers.

Adam plays a key role in positioning Skylight for long-term success through strategic and operational leadership. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience, with qualifications in Social Work, Business and Governance, and has worked across the private technology and human services sectors, including clinical experience as a Social Worker and 16 years in executive leadership roles. Adam is passionate about Skylights long term sustainability, identifying new and innovative ways to fund the projects that participants want and need. He is focused on Skylight holding true to its core values, centred on participants and their carers, and sharing the journey to recovery.

Louise Ray

Louise is an accomplished Human Resource Manager with a passion for people and seeing Skylight reach its goal of creating a place where people truly ‘Love their job’. Louise is responsible to oversee all aspects of Human Resources, Quality and Work Health and Safety. Louise has played key roles in Skylights change initiatives, supporting a new workforce to deliver NDIS services and to champion high levels of quality, ensuring we continue to meet and exceed the highest quality and safety standards externally reviewed and expected by our communities.

Louise is focused on helping Skylight ensure our people are equipped and skilled for the future and that every staff member is valued for their contribution. Skylight culture is embedded in our values of supporting a lived experienced workforce.

Finance Manager

Nidhi Gupta

Nidhi is a proficient accountant that comes from a professional services background, having completed her Chartered Accountancy at Deloitte. After working there for four years, Nidhi moved into the NDIS space and has been passionate about working in this industry ever since. She has a vast knowledge of NDIS services with specific expertise in daily activities and accommodation services, plan management, block funding and SCHADs awards, having previously worked in organisations providing Supported Independent Living and other accommodation services. Certified in XERO, Nidhi has experience in the preparation of financial reports, budget requirements and general functionality of the system.

Nidhi is focused on making sure Skylight navigates through the complexities of Grant funding and NDIS smoothly, with a strong emphasis on maintaining a team with the highest standards of service delivery and integrity. The team, along with Nidhi, is set to make sure Skylight is equipped with suitable technology to provide better reporting to internal and external stakeholders.

Nidhi aligns herself well with Skylight’s goals and is excited about ensuring its continued success in the future.

Amy Brooks

Amy has had an exciting journey with her career at Skylight, initially starting as a Mental Health Community Worker within the Respite and 1:1 (PHaMs) programs. After being seconded to join the NDIS Transition Project Team, supporting the organisation to adapt to deliver services under the NDIS, Amy became Coordinator for the first NDIS 1:1 services, the newly formed Customer Relations Team and also worked closely with regional teams. Following this, she stepped into a Team Leader role, working with the Support Coordination team. Currently, she uses her qualifications in Social Work and Psychology to support quality practice and program development across Therapeutic Services, Carer Services, Short Breaks services and 1:1 services that utilise the expertise of Lived Experience Peer Workers. In her spare time, you will find Amy getting out in nature and exploring walking trails with her dogs in the hills.

Shane Ford

Shane is a dedicated leader in the mental health sector with an Honours degree in Behavioural Science (Psychology) and over 15 years of management experience. Passionate about system-level change, Shane has worked to bridge gaps in mental health services, ensuring that lived experience is at the forefront of service design and delivery.

His career has encompassed work in suicide prevention, alcohol and other drug (AOD) recovery, and improving accessibility to mental health services, both in clinical and leadership capacities. He played a pivotal role in transforming the Lived Experience Telephone Support Service (LETSS) into a highly effective peer-led service, ensuring individuals receive support from those who truly understand their experiences.

With expertise in strategic leadership, service development, and organisational growth, Shane is committed to reshaping mental health systems to be more inclusive, person-centred, and recovery-oriented. His leadership balances innovation with compassion, ensuring services are both effective and empathetic.

Shane’s work is driven by a belief in collaboration, empowerment, and breaking down barriers to create lasting, meaningful change for individuals and communities.

Meike Wise

For the past 20 years, Meike has worked towards specialising in customer & employee experience, change & transformation programs, and business operations and  loved every minute of it. Throughout her career, she has worked for and with a wide variety of different organisations, all over the world. Among the many projects she completed, include developing and executing customer & employee success strategies, redesigning operating models and systems, and launching new initiatives.

Meike is passionate about people and is on a mission to contribute to a kinder, more authentic world. At Skylight, she uses her experience and insights to help create an environment that provides their people with an exceptional human-focused, genuine experience.

Service Delivery & Practice Manager

Rob Merrett

Read Bio

Rob comes with a broad range of knowledge, experience and qualifications in Counselling, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Supervision and Leadership, as well as many years in business management. This includes previous roles as a Practitioner, CBT Supervisor and program leader working closely alongside Beyond Blue and Flinders University in the development, delivery and evaluation of an innovative new nationwide mental health program. Rob has also managed programs working with drug and alcohol treatment, the rehabilitation of offenders, mental health rehabilitation programs for First Nation’s people and volunteered at Lifeline.

Rob’s passion is centred on mentoring others to reach their maximum potential.

He is particularly focused on building quality evidence based frameworks of support for those experiencing mental illness, recovery frameworks that are delivered through wellbeing teams of skilled, person centred, trauma informed workers.
